A 3-minute walk from Ningyocho Station. ars is a French restaurant that brings the appeal of a restaurant and a bistro together in one room. Built on classical technique, the kitchen serves modern French cooking shaped by a contemporary sensibility.
The name ars combines the initials of the French words for art, connection and memory, and means skill in Latin.

Cuisine & Wine
The specialite is a pastry-wrapped dish made with lobster, duck or game. The baking is watched closely, giving a fragrant aroma and a delicate, crisp texture.
The wine list runs to more than 100 labels, centred on France and extending to Japanese and New World natural wines. Pairings are also available by the glass.

Space
There are 12 seats in total: 4 at the counter and 8 at tables. The kitchen is in view from every seat, and the interior combines contrasting materials and finishes.
Chef Chef

Kazuya Takagi
Owner-chef of ars. He trained at Michelin-starred restaurants in Tokyo, working as a section chef at L'Effervescence in Nishi-Azabu and as sous-chef at Restaurant La FinS in Shimbashi, and went on to lead the kitchens at Calie in Shibuya and L'Evol in Omotesando.
At 33, to learn the business side before opening his own place, he joined a restaurant consultancy and worked on more than 30 new restaurant launches, continuing as an independent consultant after he left.
He opened ars in April 2021.

Cakes for Dogs wanverse by ars

wanverse by ars is a line of cakes for dogs made by ars. Every ingredient is human grade, and each cake is delivered in a paulownia box.
Rossini-style Opera for Dogs is a 200g cake built on chicken liver and chicken breast, layered with duck breast, duck foie gras and truffle, and finished with gold leaf.
It ships frozen. Thaw it in the refrigerator for about 24 hours, then cut and serve according to the calorie guide.

How do I make a reservation?
